1. Privacy at a Glance

General Information

The following notes provide a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website or use our app "Juno". Personal data is any data with which you can be personally identified.

Data Collection on this Website

Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You can find their contact details in the imprint of this website. Your data is collected on the one hand by you communicating it to us (e.g. by email). Other data is collected automatically when you visit the website by our IT systems (e.g. IP address, web browser, or time of the page view).

Data Usage of the Juno Launcher App

Important to us: Your privacy. The Juno Senior Launcher is designed so that all data required to run the app is processed locally on your Android device. For certain functions (such as error analysis, updates, and subscription management), we use selected third-party services where data is processed pseudonymously or anonymously.

  • We do not transfer phone contacts, call logs, messages, or SOS emergency call data to our servers.
  • The app requires permissions (e.g. access to contacts, phone, and SMS) to provide these functions directly on your device. This sensitive data is never transmitted to us or third parties at any time.
  • For technical purposes, analysis, and subscription management, privacy-friendly usage data is collected (see details under section 4).

2. General Notes and Mandatory Information

Controller

The responsible party for data processing is:
Daniel Möck c/o IP-Management #2816
Ludwig-Erhard-Straße 18
20459 Hamburg
Email: info@dancingmacaw.com

Revocation of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke any consent already given at any time. An informal email to us is sufficient. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out up to the revocation remains unaffected.

Right to information, erasure, restriction

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient, and the purpose of the data processing and, if applicable, a right to correction or deletion of this data.

3. Data Collection on our Website (Hosting & Analytics)

Server Log Files

Our website is hosted on a server of Hetzner (Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany). The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL (the previously visited page)
  • Hostname of the accessing computer (IP address)
  • Time of the server request

This data cannot be assigned to specific individuals. A combination of this data with other data sources is not performed. The basis for data processing is Art. 6 Paragraph 1 lit. f GDPR, which permits the processing of data to protect the legitimate interests of the website operator (technical stability and security of the website).

Website Analytics (Umami)

To understand how visitors interact with our website, we use Umami. Umami is a privacy-focused analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data (PII).

  • No cookies: Umami does not store any information on your device.
  • Privacy by Design: All data is anonymized, and we cannot track individual users across different websites or days.
  • Legal Basis: Legitimate interest (Art. 6 Paragraph 1 lit. f GDPR) to improve our website experience.

4. Data Collection and Services in the Apps

4.1 Infrastructure & Development (Expo)

We develop and operate our apps using the Expo framework (650 Industries, Inc., USA). Expo allows us to provide updates ("Over-the-Air Updates") and ensure technical functionality. We also use Expo Observe to collect usage information from our apps. This also applies to the app "Juno Senior Launcher". In this context, technical connection data and usage information may be processed.

4.2 Analytics & Improvement (PostHog)

For error detection and improvement of the app, we use PostHog (PostHog Inc., USA/UK).

  • Processed Data: IP address (stored anonymously), device information, usage data.
  • Server Location & Security: We use the PostHog EU Cloud (server location: Frankfurt, Germany). Insofar as data is transferred to the USA, this is done on the basis of the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission (SCC).
  • Legal Basis: Legitimate interest (Art. 6 Paragraph 1 lit. f GDPR).

4.3 Purchases & Subscriptions (RevenueCat)

We use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., USA) to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions.

  • Function: RevenueCat validates purchase receipts from the app stores (Apple/Google) to determine your subscription status.
  • Processed Data: App User ID (pseudonymized), purchase history, subscription expiration dates. We do not have access to your credit card details or real name; these are securely stored by Apple or Google.

5. Device Permissions

The app may request certain permissions (e.g. camera, notifications, contacts, SMS). You can revoke these permissions at any time in the settings of your operating system. Access is used exclusively for the specific functions within the app.
